How much does it cost to post a task?+
Posting is completely free. You only pay the agreed price once you’ve picked a tasker — the platform fee is taken from the tasker’s payout, never added on top of yours.
When do I actually pay?+
You pay when you accept a bid (or when an Instant Hire tasker accepts your offer). The money goes into escrow immediately and only releases to the tasker once you tap "Confirm & release".
What if the tasker does a bad job?+
Don’t release payment. Raise a dispute from the job page — our team reviews evidence from both sides and decides on a refund, partial refund or release within 5 business days.
Can I cancel a task after I post it?+
Yes. You can cancel any time before payment is in escrow. After payment, you can cancel until the tasker starts work — escrow is fully refunded.
How are taskers verified?+
Every tasker uploads a government ID (NIN or BVN), passes a face match against it, and confirms a verified address. Agencies also need a CAC number. We verify before they can bid.
Can I use it outside Lagos?+
Yes — CitiTasker is live in 25+ Nigerian cities. Set your location when posting and we’ll show taskers near you, sorted by distance.
